Andhra Pradesh Zero Budget Natural Farming (APZBNF). Is it delivering the promise of reducing chemical fertilizer’s use?

Recent news filed by Reuters says India’s fertilizer subsidy is set to touch an all time record of Rs 1.55 lakh crore in this FY (2020-21).

Globally, the chemical fertilizer consumption went up from 177 mill. tons to 200 mill. tons in the last 10 years.

In the FY 2016-17, Andhra Pradesh (AP) launched Zero Budget Natural Farming (ZBNF) with the promise of saving over Rs 2100 cr a year by reducing fertilizers consumption & related subsidies.

Is ZBNF delivering the promise of saving fertilizers consumption and subsidies in AP?
